We travelled through 4 countries in Europe in 2.5 weeks and the Travelodge was by far the worst experience. The bathroom was ok no visible hair, didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot though, towels had stains, basically water filled in soap dispensers in the shower and to wash hands. Only two towels provided and no toilet paper top up. Fan was broken and no AC. No safe. You could hear everything, sounded like doors being slammed every time someone left their room. Location was ok if familiar with the tube but not really close to anything touristy. Would never recommend or go back.

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Allowed me to early check in (mid-afternoon) which was great. One staff member was able to give me directions to everything I needed. Forget his name, black, a bit older than the rest of the staff, knew where to find everything! Downside: no air conditioning and it was HOT! Global warming is here--time to put a/c units in each room. Forced to open the window and it was loud outside with a local event, garbage trucks, and drunk people all night. You also need better maps of the area, not just the free maps from the city where everything is so small you can't read it.

Hi there - I booked my stay through CheapTickets, and was supposed to have a room that came with WiFi for my stay. When I checked in, they told me they did not have me down for having WiFi, so I didn't get it. Even though I know when I booked through CheapTickets, I added the option to have daily WiFi. I reached out to Cheap Tickets on my first day, and never heard back. Thus never had WiFi during the week. The hotel staff was also just loud at all times. One morning there were fire alarms going on for 20+ minutes. I finally poked my head out in the hall to ask what it was, and they said not to worry they were "testing the alarms." Great time to test the alarms, in the morning, when people are still sleeping. The cleaning staff was also extremely loud in the hallways, also during the morning. Overall, for what I paid, just thought the stay and hotel was lousy. Also not satisfied with my experience with CheapTickets, the WiFi situation, or the fact that when I originally reached out to the hotel to confirm my stay, they said the hotel had been cancelled on your end. No idea why or what happened, but it was an inconvenience to me to then have to re-check in to have my key reactivated as my 4 night stay was now a 3 night stay, and then a 1 night stay. For whatever reason.

We were here pre Christmas and other guests were incredibly noisy banging doors and talking in corridors from very early morning. Single bed in the room was dreadful - you could feel every spring. hotel was close to tube and very central for major London attractions.

My stay would have been better if ORBITZ had not booked me in for two separate nights meaning I had to check out on the Friday morning, leave my luggage in reception and re-check in on Friday night. The hotel were brilliant and kept me on the same floor. Next time if I ask for two nights perhaps I can be booked in for two nights,

Staff lacks attentiveness
Arrival time there were 3 people behind the desk. Waited for 5 minutes to be acknowledged and only to wait for the 1 working how was having a problem with a guest. It wasn't until she spoke up to the others that one of them tried to check me in but was having problems doing so for some reason. Had to keep asking others what to do. Second, on 3 night, ran out of body soap gel, had to you hand soap for 3 nights (6 night stay). Requested 3 times on over 3 days. Third, housekeeping would not replace used mugs in room with clean mugs. Fourth, going back to check in, when given the key to room, it would not work. Had to go back to lobby to get new card key.

Clean, close to transportation
Small room but I expected that for London and for the price paid. No air conditioning and no ice machine (could get ice at the bar a glass at a time), this is something I think you should know ahead of time. Room was clean, but on the second and third day the cleaning staff did not removed used glasses from the room. Was close to transportation services (about 30 minutes to get anywhere of interest). Food (off menu) in the restaurant was not very good (breakfast was okay though). Service outside of breakfast was slow.

Not too sure what's new about the travel lodge
The room we had overlooked the barracks room 415 I believe. I struggled to find what was new and amazing about the rooms, the bathroom was tiny the bath was tiny I am 5ft and just had enough room to sit up with legs out stretched in the bath. My partner could not have a bath. The room had only a bed, and dressing table and somewhere to hang clothes, although there was a lof of floor space left, there was nothing to fill it. A sofa or little table and chair would have been nice. I've stayed in plenty of Premier Inn's and can honestly say that there rooms and décor are much better. The bed was comfy, staff pleasant and food ok, portions were very small, I ordered pasta and thought I had been given a child's portion. Décor of bedroom especially around the windows needed some attention as you could see black marks coming through the paintwork. Overall felt the room was very cold looking.

What air conditioning?
Used this hotel the night before the PruLondon cycle ride. Good price, and hotel is pretty basic. Suitable for my purpose but I wouldn't want to spend much time here- the room was stuffy and very warm- if there was aircon it didn't work, and the alternative small fan was far too noisy to leave on overnight. Staff were helpful, and sympathetic to bicycles being kept in the room, which was a huge plus.

Clean & comfortable stay
We stayed for one night on Good Friday. The check in was efficient & informative. The room was clean & comfortable. Our room was located on the 2nd floor, which was quiet. We had an excellent breakfast at the café. We would stay here again. It was very convenient & at a bargain price.

Excellent Service
We were very pleased with the service we received from the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful especially as Expedia had made a mistake with our rooms. We are a family of 5, children 17, 15 and 11 and they only booked us 1 room! When we arrived the staff sorted out two rooms for us at no extra cost.

Pleasant staff at check-in and check-out, easy process. Also, an automated check-in machines available. Spacious bedroom and shower. Negative item was a not appealing window. Equipment basic but more than sufficient for one night stay after a Christmas party.

Hotel was far to expensive for what you got, broken flusher on the toilet, 2 x hand towles to dry yourselfs after a shower, got back to the hotel after a night out and having had to wait 10 minutes to get in the building, no breakfast included, no parking facilleties, i will not be recomened this hotel to anyone.

Don't stay here. There are better rooms you can stay in London, sometimes for less money. I wish I had paid the extra 10 pounds and gone elsewhere
1. The mattress was worn out so we kept sliding into the centre of the bed where it sagged and the springs had failed. 2. All doors in the hotel slam so when people began to leave their rooms at 6am there is no soundproofing and you get woken up. 3. A maid decided to burst into the room when I was absolutely naked and absolutely didn't bother to knock. 4. Why they had a bed that was as small as they could get away with calling double in a room which could probably have fitted three other double beds I don't understand, but a positive is the cleanliness of the place. 5. Also, slightly annoyed that after my girlfriends plane was delayed by 2 hours to 1am and as it was her credit card we had reserved with, I arrived soaked by the rain to find I wasn't allowed to go to the room to unpack and had to wait for her to meet me in the restaurant downstairs for 2 hours feeling unvalued as a customer. 6. You have to pay for internet. Everywhere else in the UK i've stayed has had it for free. There are better rooms you can stay in London, sometimes for less money. I wish I had paid the extra 10 pounds and gone to the higher rated hotel nearby.
