Rayrigg is perfectly located, with a bus every 20 mins to take you to the railway station (about a 10 minute walk) or to other towns in the District. "The accommodations were comfortable. I recommend the address location be better labeled on the stone wall. The cab driver had difficulty finding Cabin 3. The stone wall hides the view of the cabin. The laundry from the previous tenants never got picked up and the red laundry bag sat on the front stoop all week. "Very nice property. The unit appeared to be brand new. Unit was fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. The development has other amenities but we did not use them like a pool and rec building. Great location in the Lakes District for jumping off to see other locations in the area. The host was very responsive to requests via the VRBO app. My only negative would be the poor internet quality. It frequently kicked us off or was unusable for periods of time."

"This was our second holiday at High Bield - we stayed 2 years ago. It is a very special place to stay as it is in a wonderful location. We only used the car twice during the one week we stayed because all the walks and cycle rides could be done from the house. Windermere station was only a short drive away so we could easily pick up family arriving from London. Weather wasn’t what we expected in early June - warm for the first couple of days then much cooler with rain for the rest of the week...

"Our room was nice. We had a terrace but when you sit down, all you can see is a cream wall ( you have to stand up for the view). The hotel should take a foot or two from the wall and install railings. Complimentary wine was undrinkable.
