"Everything was great with the hotel... except AVOID the restaurant. The food was fine, but it was 2x the price it should have been. For $30 swiss francs, I got a plate of mostly rice with a little chicken tikka on top. I also had to pay extra for naan which was not fresh. We were the only people in there and there no chance they made everything we ordered from scratch based on how fast it came. "

"Just opposite to the train station, the lodge provided self checkin services, you can easily get the key and relax in the lodge. The ground floor provide hot water and a snack machine which is very convenient. The room and toilet was very clean and we felt very comfortable staying there."

However there is a significant issue with unfriendly and unwelcoming policies which adds a lot of unnecessary inconveniences. They like any place charge by the day but will provide tiny amounts of consumables per stay. Be prepared to be nickel and dimed for silly things. The checkout is an onerous process where you are expected to clean everything including removing all linens. The biggest negative is that the listing...

"Great property in the heart of Meiringen. Very spacious and comfortable for 4 adults. Grocery and restaurants and train/bus station very close. Would recommend to future travelers."

"The views from the apartment where amazing. We had the apartment in the last building which gave us a perfect view of nearly 360 of the mountains and waterfalls around the area. Overall we all slept comfortably. If I have any issues… The apartment was very clean and nice but did not seem to have any vibe with its decor. Unfortunately we were not able to get into the sauna which seemed to be locked but no big deal. And biggest issue isn’t with property at all.. the flies in Switzerland were crazy...
