"Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food, nice bar and dining room. We booked the deluxe room, the bed was huge! With steps to climb into it, it was very warm and comfortable. I felt the room was good value for money and would stay again. "

As for the grounds and gardens ! It was just so relaxing and calming walking around the extensive and peaceful grounds surrounding the house and visiting the family church in the woods. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again as soon as I can."

"Arrived at hotel to find it closed due to housing refugees. Neither the hotel nor yourselves contacted me prior to arriving there with this information. We had travelled quite a distance to attend a family function, all hotels in the area were fully booked, therefore the four of us (2 in our sixties and 2 in their eighties) ended up sleeping on relatives sofas. This is totally unacceptable on all counts. This is the 1st time I have used Hotels.com and the service provided does not encourage me...
