"Not a bad cab fare out of Romantica, and so much quieter. "

"Amazing location and unit. Well outfitted with dishes etc. Had to pick up a few things such as dish soap,and HE laundry soap, paper towels and some spices (lots of salt but no other spices). Beach towels provided and cleaner comes 2x per week. Snorkeling is best on the ledt side ftom the beach along the rocky shore. Saw lots of fish and a sea turtle twice. Out at the iguana pole at the end of the path there is a ton of anemones and it gets clearer."

"The staff is amazing!! We stayed with a party of 11, small kids and adults. The house is very spacious and everyone can have their own room and bathroom comfortably. There were a lot of stairs for the little ones to play on so we had to be mindful of that. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Chef Danny exceeded our expectations. Completely worth the money we paid for everything!"

"The Zona Romántica is a short drive by taxi down the hill but this lovely property sits at the summit, well above all the hustle, bustle and NOISE! The views from the rooms over the Bahía de Banderas are spectacular. "

"My family really enjoyed our Christmas week stay. The living space was very roomy, and beautiful. Loved the washer and dryer! The roof top pool was very nice. The neighborhood was quiet, and the nearby funicular really helped with those up hill climbs. We also saw whales in Banderas Bay from our balcony. "This boutique hotel is a little gem tucked into a residential area of Marina Vallarta near the golf course. It is a former condo complex turned into a boutique hotel. It has an on-site outdoor cafe that serves delicious smoothies, breakfast, lunch and drinks. They close around 4pm and they are not open for dinner. "A very nice stay. This is a very large house that was or is owned by a famous person. It is on a steep road and the upper rooftop terrace and pool have a great view into the sea. "The staff were lovely! The food was great most days, some days it was mediocre. Our room was comfortable and surprisingly large! Very accommodating. The pool was clean, however they have the family pool with the bar instead of the adult pool. So adults had to go over to another pool to get drinks. Everything else was beautiful and well done!"

Price and location make this property a gem

"This was our 4th stay at Casa Iguana and we will return. Our room was very clean. You get 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living area. There's no TV in the bedrooms; however, there were many channels to choose from and our reception was excellent. There are some minor cosmetic issues that could be attended to. And garbage around the property outside our room could be picked up. There were some people partying so there were a lot of cups, cans, and noise. BUT... the price is so reasonable and breakfast was very good. The air conditioner worked very well in our room. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, this is not it. But if you're looking for a nice place, it's great. We were on the 4th floor and there are no elevators so be prepared for steps! We love the location as the ocean is about a 5-minute walk. The zoo is about 5 minutes the other way. The bus stop is very close and you can ride to Puerto Vallarta for $1 (for 2). Excellent restaurants such as El Jacalito and Tony's. The Patio del Cuale was excellent one night and good the other. We saw so many whales on this trip it was magical."

Perfect quiet self-contained retreat for couples

"Amazing vistas, good whale watching, very nice unit, and great common spaces. Located about 2 minutes past Mismaloya by car. No walking but you will not want to leave the roof top or pool decks. Bring binoculars and groceries and bevies, as limited shopping and no working bar/ cafe on site. Wonderful get away and part of the Bay of Banderas that must be seen. Unit’s listing details are accurate. Highly recommended if you want to,’vanish’ for a few days. "
