"All well but heavy cigarette smoke and smell in the room from chimney neighbors. Looks like many Europeans are all chain smoker's! Staff apologized but the law is not in their favor - nor in favor of nonsmoking guests. At time we had to run the AC at full strength and keep the slider open. "The property is in good condition and the room, which the hotel kindly upgraded us to, was clean, spacious and bright. It was done in a minimalist design which was fine with us. "Excellent property right in Funchal. It was just done up last August. The owner contacted us before our trip to get basic flight details so she can be ready for us. Our flight was detoured and delayed for several hours the owner Ligia left a message for us so we managed to WhatsApp her when we arrived.
