And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown...

"This cabin was the perfect cozy getaway. It was exactly what you picture when you think of a cozy log cabin! The cabin had everything we needed. "The house was cute, and the location was good. We liked the woods and stream around the house and the quiet road it was on. The views of the woods out the windows were lovely. There were a few old board games for the kids, but not much else for them to do when it was raining. The TV worked well, and we had internet. "This was one of our favourite hotels on our road trip! The room was beautifully renovated and the bed was insanely comfortable. They had like 3000 channels on the tv and a microwave and fridge. The main building was ADORABLE and cozy, they had a great common space, and the little shop had great stuff - I got my sister a souvenir from their gift shop and she was obsessed. The property was also great. I would come back here in a heartbeat. It’s also so close to lots of great Stowe attractions and right across the street from my favourite restaurant in town. I’d recommend this place to anyone and everyone! "

"Everyone was so kind and helpful. There were 10 of us and we had 3 rooms. The only problem we had was we were on the 4th floor and the elevator broke the last night we were there, so it made loading the van with luggage for 10 people a bit difficult. Not sure that was anyone’s fault though. "
