"We loved our stay at Cook’s Bay. Property was newly renovated and rooms were clean, modern, and spacious with a big balcony. Hotel situated on one of the best locations on the island, was very easy to get around with a car rental. Restaurant was fantastic, the best we ate at during our stay in French Polynesia. We were only planning on eating there once but ended up going for just about every meal. Pool was clean and refreshing. Reef around resort was nice too being able to see lots of colorful fish just standing on bridge to restaurant. We would definitely stay at Cooks bay again if we come back to the beautiful island of Moorea. "

"Hard to put this into words… but it was phenomenal. The property is amazing and the owner & staff are such lovely people. If you want to avoid the overpriced chain hotel experience & stay somewhere that’s clean, comfortable & gorgeous (but still feels local) this is your place. The grounds are impressive & immaculate with lots of seats and and hammocks. The gracious staff provides an amazing breakfast tray right to your door! Kayaks, floaties and snorkel gear are provided. The property is lovingly supervised by 3 friendly, well behaved resident dogs that I’m genuinely missing already. There’s also a convenient little grocery store across the street and a friendly food truck down the street for pizza & burgers (with seating). Highly recommend- wish we had spent all of our nights here!!"

"Photos do not do it justice! It has very spacious & multiple lounge areas both indoor & outdoors. The dock allows for people to go into ocean with many various species of fish, sting rays, etc. Also the dock allowed the boat tour to bring us directly back to the hotel. The furniture & art is unique, hand selected and creative. I can not express how incredible the ambiance was. The room was a junior suite with patio bar, table , microwave and 2 fridges. Bathroom was spacious with lovely shower heads. King bed was incredibly comfortable , something that I find not always the case. The service was excellent & friendly. They were helpful to book tours and taxis for us. We stayed 4 nights and wish we stayed longer. Will definitely come again!"

"From the time we arrived to the time we left, we had a pleasant experience. We had an over the water bungalow. Plenty of room. I am sure in its heyday, this hotel was top notch. Yes, the rooms are a bit worn and could use an update or fix minor things in the rooms (Mine needed a blind wand). But we enjoyed our room. Overall, the bungalows could have been a little less in price. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Both omelet chefs was very attentive especially the one that was very animated when cooking. The staff was very helpful and nice but some of the guests to be rude. Yes, I said it. The staff nice, some guests rude. Saying please and thank you goes a long way. Snorkeling was great. Had dinner in the restaurant the first night. Service was great but did not care for the food. I had the parrot fish and truffle mac and cheese. My boyfriend had seafood something. We had a car so after that we ate outside the hotel. There is a water refill station. The minibar was stocked with 1 each Coke Cola, Sprite and pineapple juice. 2 beers and 2 sparkling water. Espresso/coffee machine and teas. It is restocked everyday. Although he does not belong to the hotel, there was a black and white dog that was joy to pet. Very friendly. Watch him as he watches what's in the lagoon. He barked when he spotted a stingray!!!! I brought a pendant from Pearl Romance. Salesperson Marie was great! Highly recommend."

"All the previous positive reviews are completely accurate. This was an amazing five nights stay right on Cook’s Bay in a beautiful home that has everything that you need. We did make several trips to the store to buy fresh fish and eggs and other staples, but for the most part, the house was completely stocked with spices, purified water, and all the cooking utensils you would need. My favorite part of the house is the dock. You can literally sit there and see lemon sharks and stingrays swimming by like clockwork. I don’t think there was a point in time where we didn’t see something swimming by within 10 to 15 minutes of each other. Monique, the host, was super receptive to all messages and inquiries during our stay. She even arranged for us to have late checkout since we had a midnight flight, and wanted to spend our last day at the house. Aidan, Who helped us check in had arranged for a rental car for me. It was the rental car that I didn’t know I needed but I absolutely did. The rate was super cheap. I believe I only paid 380 American dollars for five days. The car allowed us the freedom to travel all over the island to our excursions and also just to go to the beach or to the restaurants which are numerous in the area. We were just a family of four but the house actually sleeps 16 and although we didn’t have that many people, I would say that 16 would be totally comfortable. If we ever come back to Moorea again I would certainly love to stay at this house on Cook‘s Bay. "

"Excellent property. Bungalows are roomy and well maintained. Crepe restaurant was very good. The other 2 restaurants were average, and the fine dining restaurant has a very limited menu. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Central location on island. Many good dining opportunities within 10 minute drive."
