Small details needed attention ie unsecured toilet seat in one bathroom, light globe missing. Given the cost of the property we found the kitchen and catering equipment was rather poor in that cutlery and crockery, kitchen pans and serving dishes were not good quality and proper wine glasses were short in number. "We liked it a lot. Very roomy. The outside tub is actually not a hot tub but a cold tub. It was too cold for us in the evening. Unfortunately on our last nigh the air-conditioner in the bedroom failed. I was kind of missing a proper dining table. Instead, a kitchen-island with bar stools is used. Apart from that, a nice house."

"The house was very spacious and clean… However, the very first hour we discovered some of the largest cockroaches I’ve ever seen. We called the property manager first thing in the morning and she apologized and came right over with some bug spray. Outside the Wi-Fi was inside the house next-door so we had her bring us an additional router and once she did that everything was better…"

"We loved this property and spent 10 days here! It was everything the description said it was and more! The surf is right at your door and you are right around the corner from Temae beach, which is one of the best in the area. We saw whales almost daily and the host, Hinarii could not have been more gracious or attentive. We loved the privacy and will rent again if we returm to Moorea."

"We enjoyed our stay in the Balinese style house. With a couple of the bedrooms separate from the main house, it offered more privacy for some members of our party of seven. The kitchen is well-stocked. There are two kayaks for us to use. Restaurants are close by. We especially enjoyed the access to the small lagoon which is good for snorkeling and kayaking."

Local feel in private bungalows, beautiful locatio

"Our visit back to Hotel Kaveka 23 years after our honeymoon at the same location was wonderful. We prefer smaller, locally run and/or owned hotels, and Hotel Kaveka does not disappoint. The manager was kind enough to upgrade us for our stay, and we enjoyed our spacious and clean bungalow, a few steps from the water. Each morning over our coffee we'd watch the fish, and were treated to seeing an octopus. Great snorkeling is right in front at a drop-off. So nice to see the numerous upgrades over years--what a treat to stay once again."

"This is one of the best places we've stayed! And we've been all over the world. Everything was perfect with a view that you'll never forget! We spent most of our time at the villa because of the view alone. Everything was clean, walking distance to stores and restaurants (we had a car-recommended), security gate, and best part of the island for activities (swam with humpbacks, sharks, stingrays, cooc beach; all 5 minute drive from villa). Villa came with laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, water, ice, and the perfect amount of AC at night if needed. The cold tub was awesome after a day in the sun on the beach. We don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. Low season (mid-November), so hardly anyone around, weather was perfect and no mosquitos. Host sent a very detailed recommended agenda, which was very helpful and we ended up doing it all, Also provided were towels, snorkel gear, binoculars, wifi, tennis rackets, etc....THIS IS A MUST BOOK! THE VIEW VIEW VIEW VIEW! Mahalo & Aloha "

A little bit of paradise

"Where do I begin do review this stay? In so many ways it was a stay of a lifetime. Mark’s Place is beautiful. Each bungalow is unique in design and amenities. Our bungalow had lots of windows and large glass patio door which led to a large deck with outside furniture. Our bungalow did not have toilet or shower contained within, but we did have private facilities directly across from our unit. The bungalows are not air conditioned, and the first couple of nights were warm. If needed Mark will bring you extra fans to be more comfortable. Mark was an awesome host. He provided us with great recommendations of things to see and do. On site he has kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling equipment to rent for the day or for your entire stay. On the property there are 5 cats, 3 dogs, and 2 rabbits. The animals are frequently around, but never a problem. They will be as present as you want them to be. I would love to return to Moorea and once again stay at Mark’s Place . My dream would be a family and friends reunion there. I’m "

"The owner Eleen has created the most relaxing, zen, amazing place. Much to see and appreciate as she was a designer in her earlier years. It will sink into you as you spend time exploring this very special place. Not known for it's food-(no restaurant onsite), busy bar etc.-but SPECIAL And the beds are amazing!!!! Breakfast delivered to your room-wonderful staff Off the beaten path-great ocean view cafe 3 minutes walk This is the place if you truly want to relax and unwind."

"We stayed one day but me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our time here! It was a convient and beautiful location right on the beach. Very serene and romantic feel to the place. My only complaint is that our room did have a bit of a odd smell but I think that was do to the rugs , personally I feel carpet and beach do not mix but other than that I would recommend this place and stay here again! The owner was very nice and staff was helpful."
