"This hotel being a 5 star is a joke. The rooms are very old and the bathroom had a very bad smell to it. The room was not maintained well and was dirty. "Really nice place. Friendly staff! Kumily is great for exploring Periyar. The hotel is 10-15 min walk from the entry point into Periyar national park. Clean and spacious room. "Location : Access is restricted and through dirty broken bylanes. Barking dogs in the adjacent shanties will keep you awake through the night. Hotel management does not have any control over these. Extremely expensive for the facilities it offers and its location. The Receptionist (Manikandan) was out to swindle us even for small things like auto fare and tickets for cultural shows.
