Spot the cosplayers visiting the theme park, dressed to resemble characters from favorite Japanese shows.
Visit the famed Gyoza Stadium, a section of the theme park devoted to dumplings. Settle down for a lunch of pork dumplings. For dessert, sample some of the 50 unusual and unexpected flavors from the ice cream machine in Fukubukuro Dessert Yokocho consider tomato, avocado, pumpkin, eggplant, eel and oyster. Special crepe and cake desserts are decorated with characters and fresh fruit.
Purchase tickets at the entrance and pay extra for some of the games. Toddlers can enter for free. The site opens daily from morning until late in the evening.
Namco Namjatown is in the center of the Toshima district in the northern part of Tokyo. Walk east for 10 minutes from the Ikebukuro railway station or stop at the nearby Higashi-Ikebukuro stop. Visit some of the surrounding highlights, including the Sunshine Theater, East Ikebukuro Central Park, the Sunshine Aquarium and the SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observatory platform.
