"We had a sweet stay at Francoise's place. It had everything we needed for a few nights in Cassis. While it was further out of town that we originally thought, it was a beautiful walk in (around 45 mins), and a very easy drive to the port area of Cassis, and most importantly, to the national park for the Calanques. Francoise made checking in and out a breeze. We had everything we needed and we were encouraged to reach out for anything. All in all, a great spot!"

"A somewhat quirky house on two levels with three good size bedrooms but six people might find the living areas a bit small. For the two of us it was ideal. Lots of outdoor space with plenty of shade. Walking distance to the beach, harbour and several good restaurants. A really good base to explore the region."

"We had an amazing family reunion at Domaine de la Citerne. The host was wonderful and the house was fantastic ! Everything one would need to have a great relaxing weekend was thought of and we spent much time at the house hanging out and relaxing by the pool using the grill. We’ve never stayed at a house so well equipped and would love to stay again."

"It was a little strange sleeping in a bathroom- the photos and description did not show that the second bedroom also had the shower and washbasin in it. Notwithstanding this strange arrangement the house and beds were comfortable and relaxing. Bernadette is a non intrusive but available host. We have friends in Gareoult was in a perfect position to visit them"

"We are a family of 7 - two teens, two adult children plus one partner and two parents -the house was perfect for our group, lots of space inside and out, beautifully presented and the pool and outside eating areas are really nice and convivial. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly and although this is their home, there is plenty of space to unpack and settle in. A trip into Aix is recommended. "

We enjoyed the views, the fireplace, the grill, and the living areas. The bedrooms are all quite compact, and the furniture and cooking equipment was all rather standard - but acceptable. Our only suggestion would be for the host to refill the soap dispensers, leave leftover food between stays, and for some more substantial towels. But otherwise we were happy...

"The owner Marianne, and her husband, were so nice to allow us to check in 2 hours early. They gave us produce from their garden to use in our home cooked meals. The weather was extremely hot (95-100 F) during our visit and they request the air conditioning be off when you leave the house, but because part of the house is underground, it does not get hot induce too quickly. There is a washing machine for your clothes and a rack to dry them outside. It’s dry like a desert in the summer and clothes...
