Disappointed we had to move rooms due to air conditioning noise, however resolved immediately by moving us into another room. Only disappointment other room was a little better with some things, eg. Shelf above vanity in bathroom (which was quite handy), toilet seat a bit weird, layout, first room a little bigger. Staff were very friendly, communication a little unclear before stay."

"The room was clean. The room amenities were there in theory, but were not meant to be used in practice. The slit-like sink was 20 cm wide. The dishwashing liquid supply was barely enough to wash a few plates, and no spunge was provided. The microwave controls made no sense, and no instructions were provided. Cooking dinner and washing plates was a nightmare. Do not recommended if you are planning to have your meals in the room."

"Great place to stay! Very close to downtown Queenstown but in a more quiet location with its own smaller town around the hotel. Within walking distance to hop on the Queenstown Trail and could take that all the way into the heart of Queenstown. Excellent place to stay!"

"Wow there are so many wonderful things to say about Holiday Inn Express and Suites Queenstown. We stayed there in May 2023 for 7 nights and here are the highlights: * We had a corner suite on the top floor which had a panoramic window and the snow-capped mountain views from both windows was spectacular! Aside from the stunning views at all times, the room was also clean. * The downstairs dining / lounge area near the lobby was large and great and a beautiful space! There were 2 fireplaces on either side - one had these 2 tall comfy armchairs and the other had more seating. Many of the tables had power to charge devices and you could hang in this downstairs area day or night, rather than just your room. After a long day trip to Milford Sound it was so convenient to just sit in one of the armchairs in front of the fireplace with a hot meal, watching sport. * Our stay included buffet breakfast which was nice and the staff were friendly. * The location of the hotel was convenient as it was a relatively short downhill walk to the centre of town and you soon got used to the uphill walk back to the hotel. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! On our return back to Queenstown a week later we stayed elsewhere in a different part of town, but it just wasn't as lovely as the Holiday Inn. "
