This is a wonderful hotel. Large, gracious rooms. Great location. But the food service was awful. Unpleasant, inefficient waiters and overpriced breakfast. The Asian American woman at reception was snotty, rude and unhelpful. She had to speak to a supervisor after insisting at 320 my room was “not ready.” I’ll come back, but hope staff is better. I’m a bright note, the housekeeping lady was superb.

I loved my stay here and will definitely return. The staff is amazing and even though the property was sold out, it didn’t feel busy. No long lines or delayed check-in was a huge bonus. Yes, it could use a refresh, but the patina adds a certain character that you cannot duplicate. This will be my go to place in New York City.

The staff were very helpful and personable. We especially liked our doorman, Teodoro. He was the best. Close to all the sites. Very clean and spacious for NYC. We didn't eat at the lounge, but food was available. Also room service was available for lunch and dinner. Elegant decor and very comfortable furnishings. Would definitely recommend. Fast elevators even during the holiday weekend. The convenience fee was a bit steep, but expected in NYC. 2 courtesy bottles of water per day provided. Our phone in the room was beeping and they sent maintenance up to fix it within 10 minutes. The blackout curtains still let in some light. The rooms being soundproof don't count for the windows. Lots of outside noise still comes in, but most noise stops by midnight.

Very good place for convenience. The room is very large and clean. Staff is kind and nice. It’s not sad that the piano at lobby can not be played, and the bed mattress is too much soft, which is not good for backbone health.
