The Space:
Muted tones, modern touches and light living spaces add an air of tranquillity in this mews home for four. Whether it’s sitting with a morning coffee on your terrace or a glass of wine in the evening - this is cool coastal living at its best. On warm days, fling open the balcony doors and look out to views of the ocean. In cooler months, snuggle up on the sofa with a film on the TV and dinner bubbling away on the stove.
As well as an open-plan living and dining room, the property comprises a spacious contemporary kitchen that’s fully equipped. Downstairs on the ground floor, there’s a twin bedroom as well as a laundry room and bathroom. Whilst upstairs, find a master bedroom with a double bed, plus an additional bathroom with a walk-in shower. Its fantastic central location, beautiful views and private parking for one vehicle make this a coastal getaway to remember.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the apartment. It is split over two levels with a stair case leading to the first floor.
The Neighborhood:
The house is located on a street in central Newquay, with all the local amenities right on your doorstep. It’s just a short ten minute walk to the beaches: choose between Fistral Beach, Newquay Beach or Great Western.
Fistral is a renowned beach that boasts fantastic surfing conditions, a surf school and numerous shops and restaurants. Try Rick Stein's fish and chips and The Stable's pizza, washed down with a pint of local Korev from Fistral Beach Bar. Over on the Pentire Headland is Lewinnick Lodge, a highly regarded hotel and restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood overlooking the water. They also serve cream teas and lunch throughout the day!
Great Western Beach, Newquay Beach and Porth Beach are all easily accessible from the house - around 10-15 minutes walk or 5 minute drive. Slightly further afield, you will find Watergate Bay and Crantock beaches, which are well worth a visit. Watergate Bay Hotel is one of the most highly regarded establishments in Cornwall, and we would highly recommend trying Emily Scott's restaurant if you are in the area. Walkers are also perfectly placed to enjoy the very best of the South West Coastal Path, and you can set off on long walks in either direction straight from the door. Please see our Guest Guide for recommended walking routes.
Step out of the door and you’re in Newquay town centre, with lots of great shops and restaurants all at the tip of your fingers. Head to Box & Barber for delicious brunch options and good coffee, Pavilion for tasty baked treats as well as Lost Brewing. Co for cocktails and craft beers! Verbena is a real hidden gem, offering delicious food in a stylish restaurant setting. There is so much to offer in this bustling town.
Getting Around:
Newquay has some of the best travel connections anywhere in Cornwall. Trains operated by Great Western Railway run all the way from London Paddington into the centre of town, with only one change at Par. The station is then about 5 minute drive from the apartment and there are taxis available outside. Alternatively, it is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk with the beaches (so no need to worry about summer parking!)
