"Clean hotel , Comfy bed , great staff & food"

"The hotel sits in about the best location in Newquay, overlooking the town and the sea. The hotel itself is an imposing older building and is absolutely gorgeous inside, the room I had was a great size with a very comfortable bed. All the staff are very friendly and amazing with nothing too much trouble for them to sort out. This is the first time I've stayed here but it won't be the last."

"Cool new aparthotel, design was great. Lovely colours, kitchenette was immaculate and handy. Loved the location just up for a beach. Used the pool twice as the first time i tried it was heaving so didnt bother, then i tried another time and it just wasnt enjoyable as a family were throwing a ball and jumping and diving literally over the top of people and shouting. It was a horrible experience and anyone else left. Staff didnt do anythint. Second time was lovely though. The got food order wrong in the bar and didnt correct it or take it off the bill, mistakes are made but it wasnt handled correctly. There was a power cut all day which wasnt their fault but we got no communication about it at all so didnt know if whether there would be lights working or heating working on our return from being out. We didnt know if wed need to move hotels. Lack of comms is the most frustrating thing. Room was also freezing on the first night no matter what we did with the heating but the other nights were fine. I would sugest the hotel get some actual radiators so people can dry wet clothes as we just had wet sandly clothes on the floor. "
