"Feels very upmarket from the entrance all the way to the room. The Japanese room I stayed in felt extremely large; like a 5-star hotel in Tokyo. "Thank you Nikko Hoshinoyado- we had a wonderful Japanese experience in Nikko and at the hotel. We are sorry we don’t speak Japanese, and that made little things challenging a bit. We wish we knew that for a best experience we should have booked dinner at the hotel because we did not find a single suitable place to eat within walking distance of the hotel (October 18, 2024). So we did not have dinner that night. Breakfast, on the other hand was fantastic. We also loved the Onsen experience....

"I arrived to the area with a rental car, and they have an attendant who will come by and guide you to check in and help with luggage as they'll move your car and keep the keys afterwards. Check in was easy, with a minor mixup as they brought me to another room confusing me with another foreigner who would be checking in same day but corrected it quickly. Booked with a half board, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious for both days with nicely presented locally sourced ingredients....
