"We absolutely loved our stay at ChezCao Rice Field Ecolodge! The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, offering a great selection of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The view of the rice fields was simply magical. Unfortunately, the cloudy and cold weather meant we couldn’t use the pool, but that didn’t take away from the experience. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Ninh Binh!"

"Friendly staff and big clean room. Breakfast was ok. Hotel was abit far from the walking street, more than 10 minutes walk. Really disappointed with their air conditioning. We cannot set the temperature in our room. We called reception few time throughout the night to set the temperature cooler and they cannot do it. We couldn’t sleep the whole night as the room was warm and sticky. Lucky it winter can’t imagine how hot it will be in summer "

"Great property a little away from town but only 10 minutes on a scooter which they do rent. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful with information about the area and booking tours and travel tickets"

"Breakfast was supposed to be included as per the advertising on Expedia, but was not available. The dining area has been converted to living area for owner. The owner drove us to the train station twice. Once to get a ticket on the day of our arrival and again to get to our train. The owner also arranged laundry washing for us"

"The hotel is in a perfect location, which can be a bit noisy at night but it also feels lively. The view is simply great. The room looked brand new. The staff were polite but only with gestures as absolutely no one spoke a word of English. We could communicate for the basic stuff with signs or pictures (when we were asked to choose our type of breakfast), but anything else was simply not possible."

"We enjoyed our stay, the grounds and personnel were fantastic. We stayed in a quaint bungalow with a wall that was the actual rock so when it rained, this adjoining room got cooler and humid. We discovered a good gap in the screen where mosquitoes could enter but the issue was quickly and effectively fixed. Restaurant was great and the buffet breakfast was fulsome and varied. We would be happy to return. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Of all the places we have been over 7 months in Southeast Asia, this is the one place I felt actually went above and beyond in terms of customer service! We enjoyed the free bikes and appreciated Lily giving us a map of things to do in the area. She also arranged our sleeper bus, while allowing us to stay in a vacant room that day. She literally put us on the bus and i'm so grateful for a positive experience. The room was clean, but is worth noting the bathroom can be smelly.
