"Wonderful stay at Zen Farms! We were 4 adults, 2 kids (age 2 and 4), plus two dogs looking for a quiet, large space for the kids to “roam”. Peri and Jeff are overcommunicative, wonderful hosts who had everything prepared for our arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook and bake for the whole family— there is even an instant pot! Peri invited us to help feed and brush the animals (goats, mini horses, ducks, fish, chickens, and pigs!) each morning and afternoon, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.The home is very spacious, with three bedrooms two bathrooms upstairs and a twin room half bath downstairs. The pool table is located in the family room, the farthest from the upstairs bedrooms, so our sleeping kids wouldn’t hear anything. The house is also equipped with multiple gates (for kids or dogs), an extra twin mattress (which we used for one of the kiddos), and a pack n play, and PLENTY of sheets, towels, blankets, and robes. There are also beach chairs, boogie boards, and wetsuits of all sizes (including for kids)— honestly we’ve never stayed in a more well-stocked home.The location is on the Mesa in Arroyo Grande, about 15 min drive from Pismo Beach, 10 min from Oceano, and 20-25 min from SLO. Close enough to everything you need (grocery stores, beach) and far enough from the city that it’s very quiet and you can see all the stars at night. We’ll be back!"

"This house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fabulous and has very nice amenities. Each bedroom has a king size bed with an ensuite, tv and plenty of closet space. While there is no air conditioning, we stayed during a heat wave and were still comfortable with opening windows and using several available ceiling fans. This house is updated and beautiful, you will not be disappointed!!!"

"Sweet and stylish farmhouse on a charming property. Space for kids to stretch out and explore. High end appliances in a well stocked kitchen. Host was responsive and available. Great stay! I would return! "

"Solid Rock Ranch met our needs as a group of 12 (7 adults, 5 kids). Renee was great! She was very responsive and accommodating. The house has a large kitchen with a huge refrigerator and separate freezer. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, although it's a haphazard collection with all different styles and types. There's plenty of cookware to serve a crowd. The livingroom is somewhat small and couldn't seat all of us. The only other communal areas were the two dining tables. The downstairs has a large, empty room, that was previously used as an office. It could easily be made into another den or living area. There are 4 bedrooms with bathrooms attached and 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. All the bedrooms are large and roomy, but the attached bathrooms are tiny. You have to squeeze around the door to get past the sink. The fans in the bathrooms don't work, but they do have small windows that open. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms but most made noise when running at medium or high speed. A couple of the rooms were supplied with box fans. The house needs some general maintenance -- issues with the lighting not working, some of the window blinds didn't work, kitchen countertops were loose, etc. Some of the furniture needs to be repaired, replaced, refinished. Be aware: The house is listed for 12 people, but there is an extra charge if there are more than 10 in your group. I don't think it's meant to be deceiving, but should be more transparent."
