There’s always something happening at the NoDa Brewing Company’s taproom, whether the visit is just to pick up beer or to stay around for some fun. Known for a wide variety of beers, which change seasonally and span the gamut of styles, the taproom is also a social hub, stocked with games and entertainment of every kind. Find a new tasty brew or savor an old favorite. Then spend the afternoon enjoying the sunshine and the atmosphere.
Go first to the bar, of course, where knowledgeable bartenders offer tastes and flights of most of the brewery’s selections. Time your visit to coincide with the free weekend brewery tours that reveal the back end of brewery production close to the center of downtown Charlotte.
Decide what beer to choose and take your selection outside to the large patio and lawn, which is open much of the year, featuring a fire pit during the winter.
Play cornhole or disc golf or just sit at a picnic table and chat with friends. On a hot day, keep cool under the covered patio, equipped with ceiling fans. Food trucks park nearby, offering selections of some of Charlotte’s favorite cuisine. At night, stay around to watch local bands perform, then swing by the bar to purchase more beer to take home.
NoDa Brewing Company’s taproom is located northeast of downtown Charlotte, a 10-minute drive or 15-minute bus drive from the city center. Drive from the airport in about 20 minutes. Park along the side of the building or at the front. The taproom is open daily from the afternoon to late at night, and opens for weekend afternoons. Tour the taproom on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Check online for event and concert listings. The outdoor area is friendly to children and dogs.
