"My family (my husband and me plus four 20-something children) spent the week of Christmas here. Best. Vacation. Ever. This house was perfect for the 6 of us. Plenty of room to be together or not. Well equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook for ourselves (I easily managed a rib roast and homemade pies for Christmas dinner here because there were roasting pans, pie plates, and even a pastry blender already there!) "We had a long day of travel and was afraid that we would miss a night. We messaged the host and they were very accommodating. We ended up getting there really late and the house was wonderful to walk into. The next morning was a beautiful sight and sound to be right on the river. Also, the road this home is on the Howland Road which takes you to some of the most beautiful Redwoods! This was a great home base to explore and hike the different majestic Redwoods. "

"Overall a unique, and nice house and stay. If you bring a pup you should know that there is no access from the house itself to the enclosed, designated area for your dog. It was raining most of the time we were there so not much fun especially at night to have to slop around outside to get to the entrance to the gate to the dog area. This is just a heads up. "
