"Very beautiful setting, staff very friendly and helpful 5stars for them, the room was very nice with a very lovely large bed. Easy walking access to st ives but getting a cab back is a good idea. I would avoid room 84 as the veiw is overlooking the glass roof of the pool and you can hear everything happening in bar downstairs, but that is a minor inconvenience, I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone."

"This hotel is amazing!!! We have stayed in many five star hotels and this should be a five star hotel!!! It is extremely clean. The rooms are excellent, very good bathrooms. All furnished to a high standard. Would definitely recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. The history to this place is an added extra and the tours are a must"

"Fair out of season stay... On arrival at the front of the hotel it looked closed as it had no outside lighting, not even the hotel sign was lit, some might have been concerned, even walked away, given the untidy, distressed look to the hotel which is somewhat dire. The hotel’s location proved to be wonderfully convenient for the town centre, local public transport connections and all the other amenities this seaside town had to offer. Room was not as clean as it could be and the bathroom had some mould around the shower which needs sorting.
