Northern Iceland Apart Hotels

"This hotel was nice and the food in the restaurant was good. They did provide a room call for the Northern Lights (which some hotels will provide and that is great when wanting to view the Northern Lights). The surrounding area around the hotel was dark enough to have an enjoyable experience if the Northern Lights are active. Additionally, some of the tour groups use the parking lot of this hotel as their meeting point for their tours. We had a tour and this made it very convenient for us."

"Absolutely wonderful time here. You are basically right in lake Myvatn and the rooms are basically in the lava fields of the area. We got to pet the baby and adult cows and ate breakfast while they were being milked which was amazing. The dinner and the breakfast buffet were both delicious. The room itself was very nice (but very hot) and the bed was good. Everyone who worked here was really lovely. "

"Perfect location close to the water and walkable to the main shopping area and restaurants within 5 minutes on the flat (which was ideal in the ice/snow as the hills looked slippery) The hotel has been beautifully decorated, the included breakfast was great and the basic double room was plenty big enough. Will be recommending to anyone I know if they travel to Akureyri. "

"The apartment had everything we wanted, crockery, cutlery, fridge, hobs, hairdryer etc. Bed was very comfy. Felt a bit dated in places and rainfall shower didn't work, so had to use regular shower head. Not a problem but a point of note. Overall, a good stay at K16 Apartments."

"Great pied a Terry for 3 days in Akureyri"

"Hotel room was clean, welcoming and well presented. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary chocolate and coffee was appreciated. Only down side is the window in the bedroom wouldn't close fully, and so it was creaking in the wend all night long, but was only an issue on the second night which was particularly windy."
