"My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Royal Coop Suite at the Casa Donna Rosa Bed and Breakfast. We felt like royalty between the stunning accommodations and the attentive host. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions but also made delicious breakfast for my husband. To top it off they provided bananas to attract tropical birds to the porch of our room. "This is a lovely hotel just outside La Fortuna. A rushing river runs behind the property and the grounds are filled with interesting birds. The room was brand new and the breakfast was good. You pretty much need a car to get to town for dinner or anything else, but the tour companies will come to get you for the various adventures. The only restaurant nearby was Mary's BBQ and we had a bad meal and rude customer service there. Read the reviews before you have anything more than a drink there."

"We booked the family room nd loved having the large covered patio with hot tub. It was so much fun sitting in the hot tub and listening to the rain pounding on the roof. The only drawback is that this room is just feet from the road. Although there were plants blocking the view it was pretty noisy during the day. But a family would love this room, small kitchen, 3 separate beds, and good price. But no pool on the property if that is important to you."
