"The City Garden Grand Hotel is a solid choice for a comfortable stay with some delightful quirks. The rooms are newly renovated with hardwood floors, a bidet, and a rain shower with impressively strong water pressure. Slippers and a pillow menu (from soft to firm) ensure comfort, and the staff—front desk, concierge, and breakfast crew—are all polite and professional. Now, about breakfast... it’s hit or miss. One day you might enjoy Filipino dishes like crispy danggit, but other days, the fruit selection is limited to soggy cantaloupe and canned pineapple. I’d skip the breakfast package if consistency is important to you. For the best experience, book the deluxe room with a view—it's definitely worth the extra. Overall, it’s a hotel that you’ll get accustomed to and maybe even grow to love, quirks and all."
