Penthouse Christina w Big Sun Terrace w Pool 3 min walk to beach/local amenities

A beautiful two bedroom penthouse with STUNNING unobstructed views of the Adriatic sea with air con and all mod cons. Bedrooms feature black out blinds for a perfect night sleep. Linen and bath towels included.

Penthouse Christina is hugely popular with our guests, in fact it's our guests favourite apartment. Book early to avoid disappointment. Our management team meet and greet you on arrival, they also offer inexpensive airport transfers which allow for hassle free arrival and check in.

We offer 4 star properties on Ciovo, 300 meters from the sea. Our management meet and greet you on arrival. We can offer transfers from the airport and can arrange tours in the area (with collection and drop off to the apartments - no need for you to arrange at tourist office). We love to help our guests plan memorable holidays and have been doing so since 2003, get in touch today.

This is a beautiful spacious penthouse apartment (970 sq feet) with a stunning panoramic view of the Adriatic sea. The apartment is on the third floor and has a stunning view. The jaw dropping view takes in many islands and mountains in the Dalmatia area. There are relaxing loungers so you can sunbathe and a table with seating for 6 people, this balcony is perfect for al fresco dining and our guests rave about waking up to the view each morning. It is in an excellent location on the island, all amenities are close by, The beach is a short stroll away and Trogir diving centre is at the end of the road - a bonus for the divers out there. We offer super fast wifi (we have our own router as well as what's offered for the overall building). TV/DVDs, Games, Books, Air Con and Coffee Makers are just some of the features of our apartments in Croatia.

This property was awarded 4 stars by Croatian Tourist Board. I (Alison) manage a number of properties at the block and around Ciovo. We carefully select the apartments that we promote as they must meet our high standard. They are only 15 minutes from Split airport and right on the doorstep of medieval Trogir (over 2400 years old)

Our self catering properties sleep up to 20 people. All of our apartments villas have balconies with sea views, wifi, air-conditioning, washing machines, fully equipped kitchens, a selection of games, CD's and DVD's. Towels and linen are changed on a weekly basis and we have a meet and greet team that will welcome you to your apartment. There are amenities close by for grocery shopping, eating out, bars and of course, secluded bays with calm, clear blue water.

Split is in a region known as Dalmatia and it's a great starting point if you're interested in exploring Croatia. There are a staggering 8 UNESCO protected sites within 2 hours of Ciovo. The 2400 year old town of Trogir is on your doorstep with taxi boats leaving the local harbour every 15 minutes. The landscape is mountainous with the Adriatic Sea in the forefront and the people are friendly and very helpful. We have guests return year on year as there really is so much to see and do.

We are proud of our successful business and enjoy helping our guests plan memorable holidays. There are plenty of things to do, for all age groups, and we'd be delighted to recommend a few. It is not essential to rent a car as everything can be accessed by foot however, depending on your needs or desires you may choose one.

We offer a range of top and second floor apartments and penthouses/villas on the Island of Ciovo. South Facing. 15 minute drive from Split airport. 3 minutes walk to beach. The apartment has all mod cons, including CD player, Digital TV and DVD. Apartment has a safe for your personal belongings. Large living/dining area with seating for 6 people, kitchen with microwave, full cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Fresh bed linen and towels supplied. The bedrooms feature blackout blinds so your room doesn't get too bright in the early morning. Two full bathrooms are featured at the penthouses and apartments at Mavarcica. The beach bar is 3 minutes away and caters hot food all day. The pool area looks onto the Adriatic. The UNESCO protected town of Trogir is just five minutes away by car. Trogir is a walled medieval town dating back 2,400 years.

Welcome Pack and Entertainment Area: The entertainment area consists of a DVD and CD player. We have Satellite TV (32inch flat screen) at all the accommodations. A welcome pack is provided for guests to use to make you familiar with Ciovo/Trogir. The pack includes details on the area, sites to see and recommendations of many restaurants and bars in Trogir and Ciovo - we have been travelling to Ciovo since 2003 and have got to know many of the hosts and those that offer great service and food. Important telephone numbers are listed and the pack includes maps of the surrounding area. Also a wide selection of cd's are available to use throughout your stay. An extensive list of artists are included that we think you will enjoy. We also have a variety of games at each penthouse - poker chip and card set, chess board, draughts board, monopoly and jenja.

Tourist Attractions: Some of the tourist attractions include Krka National Park – 72 Km of the Krka river and lakes with its wonderful waterfalls. Approximately 60 minutes by car from the apartment heading towards Sibenik. And a must see. Trogir – Is a jewel of a walled town with a wide waterfront promenade that encloses a maze of medieval streets. Trogir is a mere 5 mins by car or water taxi. Places of interest include Cathedral of St Lovro and Church of St. John the Baptist. 15th century town hall opposite the cathedral with a gothic yard. Klis fortress (Game of Thrones filmed here)

Island Hopping – The Islands of Vis, Brac and Hvar (as well as lots more) are easily accessible from the apartment. Regular ferry’s connect from Split to the Islands. Why not have an overnight and enjoy the beaches and town centre.

We can help arrange tours and point you in the right direction - I'm always happy to help with guests plans. Feel free to drop me a line or call at any stage.

Breathtaking views!
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment, which was very clean and well equipped. It has stunning views from the balcony, which we enjoyed. We opted for the transfer with David who collected us from the airport and showed us where everything was locally and was on hand if we needed anything during our stay. Any problems were quickly resolved. The downside to this apartment was its location and we didn’t have a car. The apartment is at the top of a VERY steep hill and I would not recommend for small children or those with mobility issues. We used Uber a lot during our stay, which was reasonably priced It takes about 20 mins to walk down to the main beach. There is a smaller beach nearby (5-10mins), but we did not find it very clean. The swimming pool is very small and cannot really be used for swimming, although good for small children. In the evenings we visited the many restaurants and took a taxi to Trogir old town which is a great place (10 mins) away. There are local restaurants a short walk away.

Lovely apartment with fantastic view
We had the best time in Okrug Gornji! It was the most beautiful place and very well located to do all the things we wanted to do whilst there. We opted for the transfers through the management company - our flight was 2 hours delayed but David, the apartment manager, kept a check on the flight status and was waiting for us at arrivals. He then drove us to the apartment (for the same cost as all the local taxis) through the scenic route so that he could point out all the locations for travel into Split by boat, travel from our apartment to Trogir, where the local supermarkets and shops were, all the beaches and markets and sights to explore, for which we were extremely grateful! He also took us back to the airport for departure, good communication, really nice guy. The apartment was well equipped for a self-catering stay, pots and pans, large fridge and a freezer, spotlessly clean oven and hob top. There is also a tv, music players, games etc. It also has the most gorgeous view, we saw dolphins from our bedroom on the last day! The balcony was large and had the sun all day, we ate out here, sunbathed and shaded our baby with the umbrella. The pool was lovely and refreshing with some sun beds surrounding it. We travelled with a one year old and she was very safe in the apartment and on the balcony, we were very grateful that we weren’t on edge at all and she loved it. The surrounding areas are gorgeous, the apartment is on a hill but everything is close!

Clovo - a gem of a place. We'll be back!
The apartment was perfect we had everything we needed. the beach was a short stroll down the road and there were beach bars and lots of activities to do. We rented stand-up boards and took in lots of sights and little coves around the Island. Highly recommend. overall Croatia is a delightful place and a place we want to return sooner rather than later.

CLEAN AND GREAT VIEW
NYC-1967: We are a very active family and don’t mind walking. We walked to Copacabana Beach daily and Stopped by nearby market and fresh vegetable/fruit stand regularly. Consider bringing cooking pan spray and market bags and beach type towel. This is a walk up and a steep walking area so if you have elderly with you or some type of mobility issue this may be a challenge. It is only a $5.00 US Uber ride to downtown restaurants. You can get everything for purchase at Copacabana Beach for reasonable prices to include rental chairs. The laundry machine and drying rack is perfect as we often pack very light. JOGGERS: I suggest you bring a neon bright running shirt the roads are tight, hug the sides, I jogged to Trojar regularly the hills will challenge. * Look for homemade vino and olive oil signs and just stop by the house to purchase. Everyone is super friendly! The owner is very nice and my family and I loved our stay wished we discovered Croatia earlier!

Great Stay at Penthouse Christina
Our holiday was amazing! The penthouse apartment is exactly as described and was, in fact, even better than we dared hope for. The layout is relaxing and spacious but also very practical for a holidaying group or family. All mod cons are provided, you really need for nothing here. The apartment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard and feels comfortable and luxurious - the finish is superb. Our beds were very comfortable and there is extra linen available. Both bedrooms are nicely furnished with plenty of hanging and drawer space. There is a small safe in the double bedroom wardrobe which gave me peace of mind for passports etc. The bathrooms are lovely, sparkling clean and the overall feeling is of high quality with marble tiling throughout. We found the kitchen to be well equipped - there was everything I needed to cook family meals. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! I spent happy mornings watching the sun rise over the sea. The balcony is spacious and well furnished. The area in which the apartment block is situated is quiet and peaceful and it really is a very pleasant (short) walk down to the beach. The beach is a gem - quiet, clean and unspoilt, the water is crystal clear and calm. There is a beach bar offering friendly service and cheap drinks and snacks - but nothing else - what a joy to be free from beach vendors and tacky gift shops. There is a supermarket, bakery (fantastic bread and cakes), fruit and veg stall and a choice of restaurants in the village so you needn't travel far unless you want to. Everything seemed very reasonably priced to us. The boat trip from main beach to the medieval town of Trogir was a highlight. Trogir is so beautiful, and again feels unspoilt and magical- the whole family enjoyed exploring there. I could go on and on... there were no negatives to this trip and I feel like I need to return to this beautiful country and discovermore. We felt very safe and welcome in Croatia. Alison has been friendly and helpful throughout the whole planning and booking process, patient and understanding when my bank transferred too little money for the deposit(!) even organising extra accommodation for us when we needed to fly out a day earlier than planned. Thank you so much! Review written by Ellen.

This is a lovely spacious apartment, very well appointed & equipped and with beautiful views over the bay - just gorgeous. We didn’t have a car but everything is in walking distance- beautiful beaches & beach bars, lovely restaurants & bakery & supermarket. Ten minutes further on is the main beach & water taxi to Trogir. Alison & David very helpful & responsive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic destination and apartment for a relaxing holiday
The apartment was in a lovely location with superb views over the bay yet still within walking distance of many beaches, restaurants and close to the new bridge giving easy access to the main land. The apartment was very spacious and clean and the team on the island provide excellent service to assist you in your stay. All communication was very quick, friendly and efficient. This was a lovely part of Croatia providing the opportunity for many boat trips in ultra clear water around the islands and many drives along the mainland to some spectacular places such as Trogir, Split, Krka Falls and delightful Primosten within easy reach. The people we met in Croatia were so friendly and helped to make our stay one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a long time. Thank you to our host for all the information provided and assistance in booking such a wonderful apartment.

Absolutely stunning views from the balcony at any time of the day or night. Spacious, very clean and comfortable apartment which is well equipped for a great stay. Only thing missing was some decent sized beer glasses.! Great support from Alison and the local staff especially David who made himself available to check us in even though it was after 10 pm when we arrived and went out of his way to help us book an unforgettable days boat trip. The apartment is well located, close enough to all amenities but quiet enough to ensure a peaceful stay. Of course being a penthouse it means that there are several floors to climb but the views and quietness easily justify the effort. Even with temperatures in the 30's we were able to maintain a comfortable temp by using the aircon in the living area and placing the bedroom fans close to the doorways. A great place to stay and happy to recommend .

One of the best holidays we have had!
We could not fault this holiday! Okrug Gornji was a beautiful destination, with everything we needed from nice beaches, ferry trips across the islands and shops to buy what was required for our self-catering accommodation and pleasant bars and restaurants. We were a a family of five, of a wide range of ages (including a 6 year old) and so we found something for us all to enjoy. The tourists are well-catered for but we were pleased to find it is still not too commercialised so it felt a little like a secret destination. We had days out to Trogir and Split (which we accessed by ferry), hired a pedlow one day and rented out a boat on another (which allowed us to visit smaller islands and the blue lagoon). We have travelled to many countries around the world and we have now put Croatia as one of our top destinations.....it is truly wonderful location that I would highly recommend!! The accommodation was clean and spacious with an amazing sea view from the balcony (as seen in the photo). We were on the top floor (so not so great for anyone who would struggle with stairs) and within a few minutes walk down hill to the beach and shops etc. It is within a pleasant little community, I envy those that live here. Alison was so helpful, professional and approachable in handling our booking and any queries we had and nothing was too much trouble and an excellent, friendly service was provided by David once we were in Croatia (including him transporting us to/from the airport, providing tourist guidance and offering to take us anywhere we wanted to go). Every holiday needs a David and an Alison!!!! The only downside was having to leave. Thank you very much Home and Away, Alison and David!!

Highly overrated!
We stayed for three weeks in the top floor apartment. The apartment was clean and had all appliances. I appreciated having the washing machine. Nice view over the balcony but this cant be fully enjoyed due to lack of shade and the AirCon fan warm air blowing directly in the balcony. Also, there was a wasps nest inside the air con fan in the balcony. We requested a replacement parasol as the one in the apartment was ripped. This was not provided and amongst other excuses we were suggested to use shaded area at the restaurant below which we found to have been closed for some time. Pool area is not shaded either and its such a shame that there is no green or shaded area around the pool. The apartment has the Air con but only in the living room/kitchen space and due to this we had to keep all bedroom doors open to keep it cool. The plants on the photo do not exist and the sun beds cant be used due to the above mentioned issues (shade and warm air from air con fan). The nearest beach is very small, busy and not 3 mins walk as stated in the description but more like a 10 minute walk down and up the hill and longer if you want to reach other swimming spots. I am surprised of all the good reviews on your site! I would not give more than two stars. Disappointed, as we were looking forward to this family holiday. Overrated and overpriced.

Modern, airy apartment
The flat was very clean with all the necessary equipment. Stunning view, very quiet. Parking our large van was never a problem. Walking distance to all amenities, including several beaches, which is great as the summer traffic on the island was pretty bad. Great day trip to Split via ferry, also loved the beach at Labadusa.

Disappointing
The property was disappointing, as it was not as described, in that it was far longer than a 3 minute walk to the beach and at least a 20 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. The walk back being very steep hills and not suitable for someone suffering from arthritis as I have in my knees. I would not have chosen this property if that information was in the description. It would also be very hard work if you had small children. The apartment was clean but quite dated, 2 of the curtain poles were coming out of the wall and a lamp shade was broken, a socket was hanging out of the wall in the bedroom and a kitchen chair was starting to break. Air conditioning only in the lounge and it would be good if in the bedrooms. Overall it's location let it down and very basic inside.

Spacious, clean apartment with fantastic view.
We had everything we needed for our stay. Our apartment had a balcony with a roof so we could sit in the shade in the heat of the day and enjoy the splendid view. Everything was spotless on our arrival and the pool was well maintained. The only thing that let down the property were the broken sunbeds/lack of shade by the pool and shaky internet connection. When we needed to follow up travel plans it was frustrating not to get through. Alison was very helpful in the booking process and was very patient with my 1001 questions. The roads into the village were rather trafficky but we found a shortcut which began about 50m down the hill on the right. We didn't rent a car but got to see a lot regardless.

Quiet and very relaxing!
It was only 20 minutes drive from the airport. We were delayed at the car hire at the airport, so we were slightly late when we met David waiting patiently at the apartment. We were shown up to the penthouse apartment which was clean and nicely furnished. The bedrooms were freshly made up and there were fresh clean towels in the bathrooms. David explained the smaller details about how to open the patio doors, the water heater switch, rubbish arrangements, sky tv, air conditioning etc. The apartment was very well equipped with all the essentials and more. The balcony had 2 sunbeds and a table and 4 chairs. There was also a sun brolly which was needed. The sun was on the balcony for breakfast and still there for supper. It was a room with a view! Two bedrooms and two bathrooms was just like having en-suites as we were two couples. The kitchen was well equipped with large fridge freezer for fresh food and we enjoyed making quite few meals at the apartment. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant downstairs wasn't open. There was only 1 channel on the TV in English, so the cd and dvd collection available was a really nice idea. There was a lot of music to our taste so we were very happy listening to the cds in the evenings whilst playing games. Mosquitoes were a problem, and as I have allergic reactions to biting and stinging insects and I was glad to have my Jungle Spray although we think that the plug in thingies at the apartment were mosquito zappers so we had them plugged in for extra protection. There were so many beautiful things to see and lots of lovely places to visit in and around Trogir, we are so glad we hired a car that we could get out and about to see more of the area. The beach below and at Okrug Donji were beautiful and perfect for swimming on our return after our days out. We especially liked the last day when we went on a 3 island boat trip which including all drinks on the boat from 9:30am!! A Croissant mid morning, a swim, dive jump what ever took your fancy off the boat into an amazing blue lagoon and then a meal at lunch time which included a "folk" singer who we could all join in singing to. It was a memorable day for only 180 kuna each (about £22 per person). We thoroughly enjoyed our whole two weeks stay at the apartment and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family and would love to return some day. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay at your apartment Alison.

Great apartment. Lovely view. Comfortable.
We booked this not really knowing what to expect. We wanted a couple of quiet days near a beach and that's exactly what we got. Well, near 2 beaches actually ( the further one is busier and the nearest one quiet with a bar/pizza place so you can see what mood you're in and act accordingly!) The apartment was clean and comfortable, with air con in the main room. There was a lovely view of the sea and restaurant literally on our doorstep. There are nice touches in the apartment such as local info, a few books to read and dvd/cd. The booking process was very efficient with prompt responses and really helpful staff greeted us on arrival and answered any questions. We enjoyed taking the water taxi to and from Trogir - just a 15/20 min walk from the apartment ( it was hot so we took it slowly!). Trogir is busy and full of character, great choice of restaurants. You do need to be reasonably fit as there are fairly steep hills from the beach back to the apartment, but this was not a problem. Thanks for a lovely couple of days.
