"Fantastic host and a lovely property on a stunning island. Our host Eveline was lovely and on the first night gave us lots of information about the island, she also helped to organise boat hire for us. Fruit and vegetables that they were growing were freely available and the many dogs and other animals on site provided other produce and great entertainment. Car hire is a must here as the property is a fair way from any amenities. We were there in August and the villa was cooler than outside but...

"We stayed at Porto Istana for 10 days and it was an outstanding experience. The home is well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. The pool area, BBQ and outside living space is absolutely perfect…not to mention the VIEWS! It is possible to walk to the beach - a bit of a distance but we did it many days. There is a great bar called Geko that serves cocktails and great pizza / lunch. You will not go wrong choosing this home!"

"We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Despite the misfortune of arriving ill, we spent a memorable week at this place. The house is beautiful, comfortable, well equipped, the surroundings amazing. "Don’t be seduced by the pool or view. There are no bins as you have to take away your own rubbish although they give your a barcode to dispose of it. There is no air-con and it is quite dirty as you can see in the pictures. Also no wifi in the property but we were told we could access it outside by using the code in reception but its really slow when working. The kitchen area was small and quite unuseable and also you are not provided with any cloths, detergent or tea towels to clean up with but...
