There is a SMALL sign in the street floor lobby offering staff to carry luggage up, but it is so small we saw it only after we had manhandled our luggage all the way up. IF you take advantage of this service, the hotel’s location is not an issue. Otherwise, travel light. "

"A lovely stay, and the staff could not possibly be nicer or more helpful. This is a historic property that forms its own compound in the heart of the pleasant village of Azay-le-Rideau. The hotel is a short walk from one of the most splendid of the Loire chateaux, and is aso centrally located for daytrips throughout the region. Our room was large and comfortable, if a bit sparsely furnished. The bathroom was quite new, modern, and well-fitted out. We'd happily have stayed longer."

"Beautifully renovated chateau, combining a thoughtful mixtiure of period features with modern touch. Our room was lovely but rather compact (we only stayed 2 nights so that was fine). We had views of front garden (impressive cedars). Super vista from the terrace and a great outdoor pool. Breakfast was very good but pricey 24€ pp.daily, served in the pavilion accessed by an underground passage. Reception staff were super helpful. "
