"This hotel has some issues. First of all, the room's back door (sliding doors opening to a shared swimming pool just outside) didn't close properly -- it wouldn't close completely, always leaving a small gap in between... imagine all the little bugs and geckos that could crawl right through (it goes without saying this was actually a security hazard). In the end I switched to the room next door, but its door was only marginally better, and overall the room (especially the bathroom) was...

"Base to see sights of Banyuwangi. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the Indonesian breakfast was ample. Car required for this location. There is a shop across it that does general provisions and simple meals. Also went out of their way to purchase meals from outside. The room I booked did not have the advertised mountain view, and the shower room lacked a sink. "

"Had a great stay here, restaurant is closed so set out for food. There was a tasty food stand outside and found a good restaurant across the street - local eats nothing fancy but good. Pool was nice and there are tables around to spend time in. The front desk gave us a number of a contact for Ijen crater which turned out great. Not far to ferry to Bali. SOme bugs in the room but it comes with the territory. We had to keep toilet seat closed at all times though because it always had ants inside...

"This was a convenient place to overnight between Bromo and Bali. The grounds are huge and decorated with beautiful sculptures, and the pool area was large and nicely done. The rooms were fine, but the bathrooms were very dirty- everything needed a good scrubbing, and our bathtub had around 10 dead insects in it when we arrived. "

"This place is just awesome! Everything (rooms, shared bathrooms, community area) is clean, looks brandnew, nice community area to hang around. Quiet during the nighttime as it is located in a small road next to the main road. Still everything is in walking distance. I have never experienced such nice staff members. They are willing to help you with everything, always have a smile on their face 😃 If you're looking for a hostel in Banyuwangi look no further - you have just found it!"
