Start your Riccione adventure at the Palazzo del Turismo, the Palace of Tourism, a brilliant center dedicated to providing all the information you need to get the most out of your time in the town. Find it in the popular heart of the town. Pick up brochures and other resources you need and then set out to explore this charming vacation destination.
It is easy to spot this grand white building, with its three distinctive high, arched windows across the façade. In front of it is a pretty fountain, which you will find surrounded by colorful flowers during the warmer months. Take a minute to enjoy this lovely space. The fountain is called the Fontana del Nuotatore, the Swimmer’s Fountain. Note the many different figures that make up the fountain’s central sculpture, including a person in a swimming position, two intertwined fish and an array of other, smaller creatures. The fountain was donated to the town in 1958 by the Manicone family from Milan. It was intended as a tribute to the Manicones’ deceased son.
Climb the short set of stairs leading to the building’s entrance and step inside. Here you will find the town’s tourist information office, as well as the reception service of the local tourism department. Take the time to talk to the staff and gather some tips about the best things to see and do in Riccione or simply pick up leaflets and a map of the area.
Use the site’s free Wi-Fi to stay connected to the rest of the world. The building has several rooms that regularly host different events, many of which are open to the public. Check the schedule to see what is on during your visit.
The Palazza del Turismo is just a short walk west from Riccione’s lovely waterfront. After you have collected all the information you need, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach.
