"An overnight stay out of school holidays so very quiet. A large well equipped unit. Friendly and helpful staff. Veranda with bush views and nice walks around the property. Close to town and the beach but the sign is hard to see in the dark. If are a light sleeper and leave the heating on, you may be woken by what sounds like a truck at 5:30 am. It is just the cooling unit right outside the bedroom window so remember to turn it off!"

"We visited with our fur family. Colleen was a great communicator and made us feel welcome without having even met her. The property was lovely and very comfortable. Everything you could need or want were provided for. We had a wonderful time at the dog beach daily that is easily accessible and close by. Location is great and a short drive to Merimbula. We wanted to stay longer!! "

"Our family of 2 adults 2 kids and dog loved our stay at Kangarutha cottage in Kalaru. The cottage is well maintained and fully equipped with everything you will need. Kids loved riding their bikes and playing tennis on the tennis court. The beds were comfy and the location is peaceful and quiet. Gorgeous gardens and lots of wildlife. Great location 5 mins drive to Tathra, 15 mins to Bega. We look forward to staying again."

"We stayed here for a week to go whale watching. The cottage was bright, airy, and perfect for a couple with a small dog. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The host was on the property, so any issues could be addressed immediately, but we didn’t encounter any problems! It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay."

"The Love Shack has great views, but cheap and colourful furniture doesn’t cover the fact the property lacks ongoing maintenance to keep it at a level equal to fees. It’s a great layout for a couple, but lacks the touches that make guests feel truly welcome."

"Great location, opposite lagoon, walk along the boardwalk to the ocean. True to advertising. Really enjoyed our time. Only things to be aware of that the veranda doesn't have a banister and there isn't any front fencing. The backyard is fully fenced and secure, however the front and rear doors do not open directly into yard, only an issue if you have a pet. A couple of issues with cleaning, the oven and the BBQ weren't clean. The vacuum cleaner was held together with duct tape which fell apart....
