Paraná is one of the three states that make up Brazil’s South Region. It’s a place that has varied attractions to match the diversity of its topography and ethnicity. Admire majestic waterfalls, trek in national parks, beach-hop and visit energetic cities. Paraná was first inhabited by indigenous tribes Europeans began arriving in the 1500s and helped develop the state’s wealth through agricultural endeavors.

Travel inland across rolling green hills and past vast meadows to Ponta Grossa. This is the jumping off point for hiking trips amid the dramatic rock formations of Parque Estadual de Vila Velha. Guaratuba and Pontal do Paraná are two tourist-friendly resorts with sweeping stretches of sand and perfect-blue water.

Reach the state of Paraná by flying to the international airports at Curitiba and Foz do Iguaçu. Get between destinations via bus or rent a car and explore at your own pace along the well-maintained roads.
