I was looking for somewhere inexpensive close to the CBD to stay for a couple of nights after driving down from Auckland to Wellington to take daughter to University. They have car parking on site (an extra $15 per night). Good location near the Wellington CBD. The front part of the lodge is an old building. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic weekend away. The initial walk upstairs to the room doesn't set the mood. ...

"Only stayed here for one night this time round but would come again. Our room was good, very hot though, air conditioning would be a wonderful investment. Also the plug sockets behind the single beds were a little dodgy and the bathroom door had a gap when closed where you could clearly see through.
