The Federal Hotel
2.0 star property
6.4 out of 10, (11)
"Comfortable, efficient, cheap. Lovely to sit on the old federation first floor verandah and meet the longer-term guests while looking down the golden mile and soaking up the sun on an otherwise chilly Winter day. They’re renovating this historic old pub - support them if you don’t want the experience of staying in an old Aussie pub to become little more than a memory; there’s history in these walls, roofs, and boards. I’ll stay there again if I’m passing through Kalgoorlie. "

Goldfields Hideaway
6.0 out of 10, (1)
"Overall, we had a nice stay. The unit was in a good location, an easy walk to town. It was clean and comfortable, cute and compact. However, the check-in process was problematic. We were never sent the check-in details and spent an anxious hour waiting outside the unit for the agent to respond to my multiple calls and texts. When he did ring, he did send the information through promptly but there wasn't an explanation or an apology. A very disappointing start to our stay."
