"If you like Glamping, this place is for you! GLAM: feel like an elite on your own island! Enjoy the deck with sunrise, and the firepit with a sunset. Revel in the beautiful lux house and cozy cottage! CAMP: be ready for the unexpected and some inconveniences. I believe this place has immense potential – but needs some more TLC and fixes before it can be a true 5-star rating. Right now, if you know what you’re getting into, and don’t mind it – it’s AMAZING. Glamp it up and enjoy all the best aspects of lake life! We’re told this is the first year for them, and they seem to be dealing with start-up issues. While the property manager, Regan, is responsive, not all issues could be fixed quickly. It feels like the property owners bit off more than they could chew and were preemptive in putting this listing on VRBO, but we believe this place will be a true luxurious gem once it’s fully ready. We had issues with the filtered water losing pressure, so were left with well water for drinking for a few hrs. The HVAC changed on its own at times - and some of the vents pumped hot air despite being set on cool. The water heater errored out, but once reset, we had hot water again for showers. Once, at 4am, smoke detectors in the cottage went off for no reason with no way to reach them on the high ceilings. A few rocks around the firepit cracked and exploded when our fire got really hot. But, with every issue brought up to Regan, she was quick to respond and try to help resolve issues."

"It is a great place for family time. The place was clean and close to the lake for fishing and fun. The enclosed porch is wonderful for hanging out. The host had wonderful communication and response. We plan on staying again. Enjoy, Dena"

"My family and I were very happy with our accommodations at Virgil’s lake house. While the cottage seems small, the living space (kitchen, family room and 4 seasons room were open and spacious. In addition, with the 3 bedrooms and pull out couch we were able to sleep 8 comfortably when needed. The property was very well maintained and everything was clean and in good working order. We love being on Seminole Island and the lake view and sunsets were excellent. We had a great time and would love to come back again. The owners were very nice and accommodating too!"
