"Khaolak Merlin Resort is one of the most beautiful resorts we have stayed in. The rooms are nestled amongst an amazing rainforest with water features everywhere. We shared our own free form pool with only a few other rooms. The beach was great for swimming and very clean - much better than anything we encountered in Phuket."

"It was a lovely resort. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They all went out of way to make stay enjoyable. Lovely beach for sunset views. Pools were warm and spacious. Food expensive compared to local prices as were the drinks. Cocktails were not great and were pricey. Wi-Fi dropped out regularly. It was easy to walk to a wide range of places to eat so would recommend bed and breakfast at the resort. "

"We had an acceptable pool villa with beach access for which we had paid handsomely however I’d have been horrified to be in the huge block rooms. The resort is jaded and unloved. The dining room is scruffy and a total covid hazard. Tabl s have dirty mats and uneven surfaces. This is the first hotel where I saw guests actually bringing in their own breakfast ( as opposed to taking fruit etc out) it c a n only be described as basic and pedestrian with poor choice and little attention to top up...

I liked the location, it's not the best but also not bad, It's not to far from shops and a short ride to the market. the room was big and convenient, very clean, there wasn't a bath but I liked the room very much and had a great view from it! I liked the pools and spent most of my time in them. I wish they had water sports like canoe or paddle boards or something like that but even though it was a great stay! I...
