"Great location in Old Town, loved the antique style which was very in keeping with the surroundings. Staff and Hristo the owner went out of their way to be helpful and we really appreciated all the little extra thoughtful touches such as a handwritten personal welcome notice displayed in reception. "
"Tasty breakfast, friendly staff, amazing views from the rooftop terrace and the rooms have all amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Super convenient location - steps away from shops, restaurants and the Old Town, perfect for exploring. The owner also gave us tour of the ruins underneath the building, it was super interesting. We would definitely return. "
"Charming hotel with beautifully decorated rooms. Location is perfect for visiting old and new Plovdiv. Very friendly and helpful owner. We had to leave early for the bus to Velikov and the owner arranged for an (homemade) early breakfast and a taxi to the bus-station."
"I enjoyed the my room in the these quaint historic hotel with atmosphere. My bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. I especially enjoyed sitting out in the back patio and garden. "Family of 4 stayed here August 2025. The room was excellent, just be aware I don’t think there is an elevator (I may be wrong). The character of the building with Byzantine-era walls was outstanding. Good breakfast. EXCELLENT location for Old Town Plovdiv. Staff was super-helpful with sorting parking. Great communication prior to the stay. 10/19 - highly recommended! (Reviewed by 55-y.o. experienced traveler w/ teenagers from US)."

"It is listed as being located in downtown Plovdiv, but unfortunately, it is actually about a 25-minute walk from the city center. In front of the hotel, there are several buildings that are falling apart, which makes the view from the windows quite unpleasant. The rooms at the back of the building are very dark and receive no sunlight at all.

"The rooms at this hotel are huge and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. It's a large property, so there are many additional amenities that can be purchased (spa services, a casino). The location was convenient to Old Town Plovdiv and the staff was friendly. The rooms were a good value."
"This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem.
I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me.
They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old city. I was only there one night but will make sure I return as it was beautiful. Don't expect an elevator as it's an old building. "
