"This is a pretty cabin in a very rural setting near the Watauga river. It has a lot of windows and we enjoyed watching the cows across the street, and we also saw baby lambs. The long mountain views are awesome - we saw them covered in snow!The inside of the cabin is nice and new; although minimally decorated. "Absolutely beautiful home. Gas Fireplace inside and out was perfect. Grill was good! Could use some new cooking pans, but the place was absolutely wonderful. No cell service but had good internet so that wasn't a problem at all. We will definitely rent this in the future. Host was extremely responsive to any questions and provided sound answers and solutions. Thank you for a wonderful memory and weekend! "

"Visiting on laws for Thanksgiving and usually we stay in a hotel but since they are elderly and no longer up for cooking, I decided to rent a home so they could come over to eat. This house was perfect…it was 5 mins from their house. My husband l, daughter, and I had everything we needed and check in was easy. "A perfect getaway! We were in town for a wedding, and were so glad we chose this cottage over a hotel. The views of the water and the sun setting were the icing on the cake. It was clean, comfortable, plenty of dishes if you want to whip up a gourmet meal. I wish we had time to use the dock and campfire area, but will for sure next time we are out there.
