This hotel was very close to Fisherman's Wharf and was walkable to Pier 33 where the Alcatraz Ferries launched. We were happily surprised to find a WONDERFUL breakfast buffet.

Lovely hotel, clean, great staff, comfortable beds, nicely decorated room, and quiet. This hotel is a couple of blocks from Union Square, so very walkable to shopping. I never felt unsafe, but it is right on the edge of a sketchy area, so there are a few street people. But not enough to change my opinion of this very nice hotel.
