The only negatives were the live music by the pools was too loud (not relaxing) and the two hot tubs were not working a couple of the days - only warm at best. "Hotel was great and clean… we arrived pretty tired and the music was too loud at the pool that was impossible to take a nap. The following days were pretty good on that. Staff was very nice, food was good, just uncomfortable that they were pretty insistent on selling you a tour on their new building for free tours… we just needed to rest and stay, we didn’t need to see any other facility. My hotel app didn’t work to make any dinner reservation any day. We used the Mexican and the Asian places...

"Grand Velas was absolutely fabulous! We brought our 3 kids and we were spoiled from day one. Our personal concierge Blair was phenomenal. Friendly, professional and attentive to anything we needed. Typically we avoid all inclusive resorts because we enjoy higher quality dining and drinks - we decided to try Grand Velas based on other great reviews and we are so glad we did! "Cabo Azul is a beautiful well run resort. The staff is attentive and all seem to walk around with a smile. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and clean. I love that there is a laundry on every floor! I think Cabo Azul would benefit from having more dining options. This is the only hotel in Mexico that I’ve ever been to that does not offer a breakfast buffet. Other than the lack of dining options, Cabo Azul is perfect and a great value. "
