"Our family stayed in this nice home during a very cold week in Fort Plain (-3 outside). The house looked to be recently remodeled, was very clean, and had very modern amenities and appliances. The furnace/radiator struggled to keep the first floor warm without space heaters, but the upstairs sleeping quarters were very comfortable with the heating system running and the space heaters provided by the host. They were very quick to respond to the temperature issues, so we slept well during our stay. We were out of the house most of the day visiting family, so the first floor temperature issues had minimal impact to us. Very easy to go in and out of town from the location. During our next visit, if the house is open, we would likely consider staying there again because of how much the host worked with us to make our stay as comfortable as possible."

"We left the property and started refund process within just a couple of hours of arriving. Exterior of House looks nothing like the photos online: Grass was not mowed, trash was on the front porch, paint was chipping, chairs were broken and taped together, back door to house was unlocked. Interior was no better; shower floors and walls were rusty, bath mats were wet and soiled, freezer had dried blood on the interior, beds did not appear to be freshly made with clean sheets since previous guests, mousetraps with dead mice on the mantle and fireplace hearth. After speaking with the owner about my concerns, she agreed to send out her cleaning lady. The cleaning lady showed up at 6 pm to mow the lawn only. Cleaning lady shares with us that photos online and description are old and from the previous owner, the current owner describes the bathroom and shower situation as “glamping”. The cleaning lady also believes that someone may be entering the house through the unlocked back door and staying there without permission. Although the view from the dock was just lovely and it is very difficult to find accommodations in such a remote area on short notice, we decided to leave in hopes that we would get our money refunded. I stay at VRBO properties quite a bit and I trust their product. However, This listing on the website needs to be updated immediately. This experience was incredibly disappointing, very inconvenient and expensive for my family "

"We loved this house and felt right at home. The property manager was super welcoming and very accommodating. Just a short walk across the yard to a beautiful lake made this a perfect place for us and our kids ages 3,10 and 13. We brought our canoe for fishing and did so each morning of our 6 night stay. Beds were cozy, kitchen was well stocked. We could not have asked for a better stay and cant wait to return each time we visit our family in the area. Thank you Justin and Kerry!"

"The best and cleanest place we have stayed in by far here in Caroga !!! The location was perfect and the private beach was amazing. We were there for the 4th and the front row fireworks were stunning ! Hope to stay there again !!"
