"Had a lovely stay at this hotel the room was spotless and staff were great, breakfast was also very good as much as you could eat and all fresh and hot. The facilities are also great, pool was warm and we made good use of the sauna and jacuzzi all our towels were provided fresh and clean, however I couldn't find a working locker in the changing rooms and another customer told me that was a common issue. We booked two evenings at the waterside restaurant which is part of the hotel but a separate building, the first evening we had crispy chilli chicken and although very pleasant we felt the portions were very small however on our second visit we had the beef burger with fries and we can definitely recommend it very tasty and more than enough to fill a hungry traveller. Unfortunately on a down side the furniture let it down there were stained chairs throughout the restaurant and that was a shame it lowered the experience of our evening. Also unfortunately we were surprised to find it was card only payments but after a little negotiation we managed to pay by cash although we were told we could not have any change from our bill and that's worth remembering if you like us wanted to pay the old fashioned way."

"Amazing! Helens' cottage is beautiful. A hidden gem, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious ,clean ,and everything you need is there and all good quality. Don't let the 4ft bed put you off, it's so comfy and you'd be missing out on a fantastic break. It's peaceful, amazing views, walks. Only a short walk to Llangollen, such a pretty town. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it .Helens' attention to detail is no less than perfect."

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our family Christmas! Ty Haul is beautifully designed with a well considered layout and finished to a high standard. We had a great amount of space for 6 people both to relax and do activities together. Looked even better when we arrived than we expected and was spotlessly clean, complete with Christmas decor. High praise for how well equipped the house is - from a tv in every room and good internet to coffee machine and air fryer. Two ovens and a great variety of kitchenware allowed us to cook Christmas dinner with ease. This included small details like slippers and board games- which we appreciated. The space allowed us to cook all together, relax, have comfortable family dinners, and felt like a home away from home due to the amenities and inviting design. Perfect space for sharing family time but also big comfortable bedrooms for everyone to have their own space- complete with huge beds and good quality mattresses which meant we all got great rest. It was freezing outside but the heating worked great! Very close to lots of beautiful sights such as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. We were so lucky we chose this house for our festive family gathering - we even decided to ask to stay a night longer as we didn’t want to leave. "Despite the weather which was really wet for 2 1/2 days, we enjoyed our stay and the area is wonderful. Despite the huge space, the kitchen area is tight around the sink and cooker, and the sink is quite shallow. Not much room for storing toiletries in a couple of the en-suites, but these are quite minor points. The owner was fabulous and extremely helpful. North Wales is beautiful and the Llangollen railway quite enchanting."
