"I believe I overpaid for a mediocre property (more than 7k/day). Reception and dining were very poor. Not enough space in the property to wander around. Food was an utter disappointment, but it had some sky rocketed price like a 4 star resort. Based on what I ordered, I recommend you to change your Chef. Apartment was compact and clean. Staff behavior was cool & pleasant. Didn't use Ayurvedic facility, so comment on that. Reception neither had the courtesy to welcome customers nor had the space...

"It is a place full of character. Delightful staff (limited English with some did not take away from their kindness and personal care). The building is all traditional Kerala, lots of dark wood, and a very amusing lift playing Tamil music. My balcony faced the fires of coconut palms, with birds occasionally calling out, but the dominant sound was the breakers as the beach is 20 metres down the lane. "Our room at the Turtle was spacious, good and clean with a huge terrace with sea views. The pool area could have been cleaner and there was a shortage of sun beds and brollies. It was very easy to get to the beach by either hotel car or a tuk tuk was only INR 100. We spent most of our time on Lighthouse beach as at the left end, looking out to sea, there was an amazing snorkelling spot. Brilliant."
