"We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July. When we arrived the owner came out to greet us and gave us a map and lots of helpful suggestions of places to visit in the area. The room was very thoughtfully designed and constructed; it was beautiful with lots of unique and really cool touches. I loved the half barrel sink (hope to recreate that in my own home one day!). The room has a wine fridge as well.
In the hallway with the suites, there is a Keurig machine for coffee and a water cooler. In the morning they put out breakfast pastries and fruit. There are also extra towels here if you need to replace yours.
The grounds are well maintained and you have access to a fire pit and hot tub if you are so inclined. The fountain and statues are perfect for taking photos. My only complaint about the property is that there is no shade. A few umbrellas would definitely help and maybe start planting some trees to eventually provide extra shade. It was very hot when we were there and unfortunately couldn't really sit outside during the day because there were no shaded areas.
All in all, a beautiful and unique place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone and could stay there again. "
"Our extended family had a lovely stay at Golden Field Farmhouse. We had two 3 year olds in our group who loved the backyard with fire pit and lots of green space to runaround. The house was exactly like the pictures and very clean. Our group enjoyed our evenings on the back deck, BBQing, playing yard games and sitting by the fire. A very short drive into Wellington. Communication with Jimmy was excellent, who was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!!"
"The house was exactly as shown in the listing and was even bigger than expected. Home was very clean and we were able to find any dishes, pans etc we needed. Our only suggestions are a few more tea towels as only 2 were provided and we noticed that the screened in porch could use a cobweb cleaning both inside and out. Overall we loved it and would book it again. "
"We loved out stay in Wellington. The home was very cute and inviting. The only minor concern was that the home was very musty smelling on arrival (which could be problematic for those with asthma) and my young son found a dead fly and clumps of lint in his bed."
"The house is beautiful, spacious and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped, bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and we really enjoyed the ‘extra’ children’s room. It was amazing to have the pool and hot tub for ourselves after a day exploring. Centrally located for all our day trips. Thanks for a wonderful stay."
"Peaceful, well appointed property in a prime location. We loved our first time visit to Prince Edward County and really enjoyed our stay at Carson’s Creek. It’s country living with all the upgraded amenities. Everything was available in the kitchen for home cooking and/or quick takeout by the wood burning stove! The beds were both very comfortable. We travel with our dog and this is one of those properties that ensures all members of the family are welcomed. The yard and surrounding area are serene. We all had a wonderful stay. Hot tub was a plus and the afternoon sun hits just right! Love this place!"
"We had a great weekend. This cottage is close to where we live so it’s nice having a local option. Well stocked, had everything we needed to make our meals and towels supplied for the hot tub (which had a beautiful private view of the lake). The snow was plowed and cleared upon arrival too. Communication with the host was very easy. "
