This property perhaps is best appreciated by thinking of it as a 'condo ' rather than a posh resort. Very well run, clean, close attention to detail, free parking, loaner beach gear etc. If you are expecting water slides and a lazy river...no. Medium sized pool w/ hot tub that we rarely shared w/ anyone. Do note that the upstairs neighbors were loud -- early (4 and 5 am) in spite of 'quiet time'. We complained once and then let it go... Great home base to Hanalei and local beaches.

The pool and beach area were incredible. They don’t allow you to check in not even a half hour earlier. I didn’t love the shop either not a lot of variety.

Enjoyed the home like comfort of the suite. Walking to the beach was easy. Nice setting for the grouping of accommodations. The suite got a bit warm in the afternoon but we were usually out by then. Cooled down nicely in the evening though with all the air moving through the unit. The beach chairs and beach umbrella, although missing a spoke, was very nice for the beach. There was some traffic noise in the bedroom so had to keep the jalousie windows closed. It did die down early in the evening though. Ceiling fan was good enough in the bedroom we never used the portable air conditioner. And the roosters start early. Some other very nice song birds though and beautiful flowers. An umbrella on the lanai off the living area would have been nice as the two get warm very early in the day.

I somehow missed the fact that the hotel front desk closed at 8, and we arrived after that. They sent a message that had information on how to access our room using a code which was perfect. One thing that was confusing was that the message said “sorry we missed you during our front desk hours 8am - 8pm” and then “please visit the front desk for your parking pass.” Since I drove a car there I was unsure about the parking and whether I needed a pass. I went by the front desk thinking perhaps they had an after hours set up which would include my parking pass, but it didn’t. We parked with no issue but did arrive late and left early in the morning before the front desk opened again.
The room was okay, it seemed clean but we did find crackers in the couch. The AC unit was in the main living space, and the sleeping room was so warm even late at night. There’s a small vent in between the living area and the bedroom that I think was intended to help cool off the bedroom. But it didn’t help it was very uncomfortable in the bedroom. Overall it was fine, just nothing special or memorable.
