"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms. "

They specifically requested that I leave a glowing review as they found the accommodation to be excellent and were keen to pass on their thanks to the helpful staff with particular mention to Olivia who I was asked to say is better than she thinks she is! "The hotel was beautiful and the staff were excellent, they couldn't do enough for you. We booked a superior twin room through Expedia but they booked a superior double room, the staff went out of their way to change to a twin room. The room was clean but looked like a DIY job and didn't have a nice view but as Expedia had messed up and booked a double room we put up with it, there was no hot water in the shower but they did offer us a key for another room to shower the next morning"

"Good location next to Lake Windermere and we had a great view of the lake from our room - very atmospheric in the early morning mist! Room lovely and warm and well appointed although a little more floorspace would not have gone amiss. Breakfast was very good - a decent amount of food, very tasty and well cooked. We also enjoyed the pool and sauna/steam rooms as well. Hotel is very well located with many pubs/restaurants/cafes within easy walking distance."
