"This was by far the best room we stayed in during our entire Scotland trip! It's a bit far and difficult to access Edinburgh if you don't have a car, we went to a car park half way there, and ubered into town. (I don't like driving in downtown Edinburgh, the pedestrians are crazy!) The restaurant is best for breakfast. It was calm and quiet. But the stairs! No elevator, so beware! "

"Stayed for 1 night and had a great meal in the Pentland restaurant, breakfast was also great in the morning. Staff were all helpful and pleasant but the only downside was the pillows in the room being far too soft so couldn’t get a great night sleep. We phoned reception to ask for firmer pillows but didn’t have any unfortunately."

"I loved everything about this place! The staff was excellent, the onsite restaurant was superb, and it was really close to the airport. Getting to the city activities took 30 minutes, but I'd take the peace and quiet here over being in the middle of everything, anytime. My only regret is that I didn’t get to take advantage of the Spa services. I plan to go back to Scotland next year and I will be staying at Norton House. "
