"We are a family of 5, with 3 teens. We had so much space in really clean and comfortable surroundings. Communication was excellent and Martine and Jean were good hosts. The pool area with outdoor kitchen was lovely and peaceful and the garage with ping pong a treat! Would recommend to families or groups. We would return ( and remember all our belongings next time! - thank you Martine!) "

"Great location by the Canal du Midi, which has a cycle route alongside. We cycled in both directions, and another day took the bikes by car to cycle further away. "Lovely house, pictures are not completely accurate. Owner does only speak french, which didn't bother us, but just be aware. Everythin was lovely and Nadine was perfectly hospitable. I will say France sweet villas weren't as on the ball as they should be. I asked multiple times to confirm the comfort kits and we were told it was done, however, when we got there, the lovely lady told us no one had communicated this to her, she was very apologetic and helpful."

The room was clean and nicely appointed with a walkout spacious terrace. We wish we could have stayed another night. Perfect hotel in perfect location.

"Nice older hotel, but all modern features in room, in excellent location. About a 10 minute walk to amazing fortress/castle and same to the old part of town. Hotel had a small store attached, where you can buy great wine at an excellent price. They also had a great selection of cheeses and bread, plus other nice foods/snacks. Also, on the third floor they had a nice small terrace area to sit and drink wine, enjoy your bread and cheese and get an amazing view of the magnificent castle/fortress. They also had a nice patio garden area, but we didn’t avail ourselves of this. Lastly, the staff were friendly and the owners were on site all the time. They were very kind and helpful to us as we had to stay an extra night. Would thoroughly recommend this outstanding hotel, with extremely kind and friendly owners. "

Hôtel Le Donjon - Coeur de la Cité Médiévale

"This is a historic hotel in the heart of Carcassonne. There are steps to the rooms. It was clean with an accommodating staff. We had a later arrival than planned and the parking attendant waited and got us and all our luggage to the hotel. We were able to access parking after hours also with a code. Breakfast was good. The bar area was lovely. I would stay here again."

"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was an upgrade so we had a balcony and wonderful of the old city of Carcassonne. The bedroom had a huge open plan bathroom with large, round bath. We used the swimming pool, which is indoors and very nice for a quick dip. The breakfast was lovely! "
