"The property was clean and the staff was friendly. The view was incredible. We woke up to the mountains behind us and the ocean and horses in front of us. The only thing was the shower was hard to operate and there is not 24 hour front desk. It was also hard to find a cheap restaurant close by although there were more expensive options. all in all, we loved the room and property and would recommend!"

"My spouse and I booked the Fosshotel Hellnar as a stop on our Iceland road trip. It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. "The surrounding area is beautiful and the cottage was cozy. Staff was also very friendly. My only complaint is that we didn’t find out until entering our unit and seeing a sign on the bathroom that they don’t get much hot water. The sign says to use hot water sparingly. I made sure to get all the way in the shower before turning the water on given the warning. The warm water didn’t even last 2minutes before turning ice cold.
