"Charming ryokan. Onsen on top floor has separate bathing for men and women, lovely way to begin and end the day. The rooms come with half board, so a very special dinner and breakfast filled with Japanese delicacies. Location is convenient, it’s about a 15 minute walk from the tobu Nikko station but you can take the number 1 bus that leaves you a block or so away. Quite convenient to the attractions. Lovely mountainous view with brook from the window."

We got our "room information" via email, sent two days before the start of our stay. "The outdoor bath attached to the room was really nice! The look and feel of the hotel grounds was fantastic and the breakfast was quite nice. The room however wasn’t old and worn out. The room was for the most part dark and dreary. The rooms could really use a renovation. If they were nicer this would have been a a hotel I would sincerely recommend to my friends."
